Buy in bulk and save! Our Hot Vines look like natural vines but have "hot" (electrified) elements every 9" along the trunk of the vine, positioned to come into contact with an approaching animal. One end of the vine is attached to an electric fence charger (sold separately) which delivers a decisive yet harmless shock.


Hot Vines are used on trees, posts, walls and rockwork in exhibits with animals including bears, chimps, tigers, lions, wolves, gorillas, etc.


Coverage: In our experience, 20-30 feet of vine will cover most trees. You can easily cut the vine to customize your installation or attach one vine to another to create a longer trunk. Tip: For walls, large rocks or trees with larger trunks, it usually looks best to install a central vine that runs the full length (in a naturalistic, meandering line) then install smaller branches of vine coming off of it in different directions.
